This course is an introduction to Spirituality and Culture. Learners will get an introduction to what Solstice is and the Lunar New Year and how it's celebrated.
Module 1
Solstice
This course introduces the concept of solstice, explaining what solstice is and that there are two solstices each year. Several monuments built in relation to the solstice are discussed, as well as current ways that people around the world celebrate solstice. Users will also learn about the connection between some Christmas and solstice traditions.
Module 2
Lunar New Year
This course is an introduction to the Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year is celebrated by many Asian cultures, including China. Users will learn about traditions including special foods, dragon and lion dances, and other ways people celebrate the holiday. The topic of zodiac animals will also be explored.
