This course is an introduction to animal families. Users will learn about the amazing mothers and fathers of the animal kingdom. These include elephants: one of few matriarchal societies in the animal world where all females in the herd take care of the young, and seahorses: the only male to be pregnant with offspring and one of few animal fathers to care for the young.
Module 2
Our Closest Animal Relatives
This course in an introduction to our closest animal relatives: apes. Apes share a large portion of their DNA with people and have complex brains. This course will explore some of the similarities and differences between apes and people. It will also discuss some of the dangers our closest relatives are facing, including deforestation for palm oil plantations.
