ICBA Launches Community Bank Online Education Center
Washington, D.C. (March 7, 2011)
The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), the nation's voice for community banks, has launched an eLearning Center for its nearly 5,000 members. The online education hub will provide up-to-date training and professional development programs for community bank professionals; all at their own pace.
"ICBA is thrilled to launch this exciting new education portal for our community bank members," said Greg Martinson, ICBA executive vice president of Sauk Centre operations and education. "eLearning is a favored delivery method for industry professionals because it's convenient, flexible and cost-effective. It also offers interactive courses that the learner takes at his/her own pace, and self-pacing has proven to be highly retentive and effective."
ICBA and its eLearning provider, Vubiz, are launching the new Online Education Center, which offers hundreds of online courses with timely content from subject matter experts, specifically customized for community banks. ICBA's acclaimed online library offers functional courses that can be applied immediately on the job. The portfolio of online programs includes teller training, bank compliance, bank security, health & safety, general compliance, customer service, management, communications, sales and marketing targeting frontline employees and management.
These online courses can help community banks:
Included with the courses is a Learning Management System (LMS) that tracks the progress of learners. Training is available 24/7 from any Internet connection, and as a bonus, these programs are offered at significant savings to ICBA members.
ICBA's partner, Vubiz, is an award winning full service eLearning company that produces a wide variety of courses and end-to-end LMS solutions.
