A message from President, Gib Whitlock:
At UFCW Local 247 we are very proud of the work done through our
various Training and Education Centres. The Local’s Education
and Training Committee has established a mandate "to provide and
encourage all members equally, to reach their full potential by
creating a bridge to lifelong learning, thereby enhancing their
working and personal lives". Our challenge has been to provide
access to these opportunities to our members who might not be
near one of our Centres.
We are excited to be able to offer a series of online training
through Local 247’s new Web Education Centre, “U.Connected247”.
Any Local 247 member, regardless of where they reside, will have
the chance to enhance their skills by taking any the many
courses offered.
