In partnership with the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, The Salvation Army Territorial Employee Relations is providing online health and safety training to all its officers, staff and volunteers across the territory.
It is with passion for and commitment to ministry unit's health and safety programs that information and knowledge become the powerful tools to support prevention initiatives as we give hope today.
You will be directed by your supervisor to take certain mandatory courses, but you are encouraged to increase your knowledge by taking others as well. You can take them from anywhere with a computer and an Internet connection. CCOHS courses are unique in that they are developed by subject specialists in the field, and reviewed by representatives from labour, employers and government to ensure the content and approach are unbiased and credible. All CCOHS courses are available in both English and French. Upon successful completion of each e-course, a certificate will produced for your records.
To register, you need to create a password. On the right, under ‘Register for the e-courses’, enter your year and day of birth and the last four digits of your SIN number as indicated. You only need to register once.
As a returning user you can sign in under ‘Already Registered’.
Once you’ve registered and signed-in, you will see the list of courses you can access under the My Content tab.
